1. Zero Defect and Zero Effect (ZED) Scheme
The scheme envisages promotion of Zero Defect and Zero Effect (ZED) manufacturing amongst MSMEs and ZED Assessment for their certification so as to:
a) Encourage and Enable MSMEs for manufacturing of quality products using latest technology tools & to constantly upgrade their processes for achievement of high productivity and high quality with the least effect on the environment.
b) Develop an Ecosystem for Zero Defect Zero Effect Manufacturing in MSMEs, for enhancing competitiveness and enabling exports.
c) Promote adoption of Quality and recognising the efforts of successful MSMEs.
d) Increase public awareness on demanding Zero Defect and Zero Effect Products through the ZED Rating and Grievance Redressal Portal.

2. Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of MSMEs through Incubators Scheme
The main objective of the scheme is to promote & support untapped creativity of individual and to promote adoption of latest technologies in manufacturing as well as knowledge based innovative MSMEs (ventures) that seek the validation of their ideas at the proof of concept level. The scheme also supports engagement with Enablers who will advise such MSMEs in expanding the business by supporting them in design, strategy and execution. The Enablers will play a pivotal role and would be integral part of the business development.

3. Digital MSME Scheme
The main objective of scheme is to make MSMEs digitally empowered and motivate them to adopt ICT tools and applications in their production & business processes with a view to improve their competitiveness in national and international market. The likely outcomes of the scheme will be: a) Empower & enable MSMEs to harness IT as a medium of communication to revamp access to the markets to update their managerial and technical knowledge though online content-both static and dynamic. b) Evolving internal efficiencies by way of intense ICT intake and automating procedure for cost reduction and capacity enhancement for information access, processing, collaboration and dissemination.

4. Building Awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) For Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
Intellectual Property (IP) is one of the key players involved in the market success of an innovation. IP plays a major role in enhancing competitiveness of technology-based businesses and facilitates the process of taking innovative technology to the market place.
In order to compete with global standards and technological challenges, IPR protection plays a very crucial role in achieving competitive advantage and technological gains as they are important tools to promote marketing and innovation.

5. Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme
The objectives of the Scheme is to enhance the manufacturing competitiveness of MSMEs through the application of various Lean Manufacturing (LM) techniques by Reducing waste, Increasing productivity, Introducing innovative practices for improving overall competitiveness, Inculcating good management systems, Imbibing a culture of continuous improvement.

6. Design Scheme
The scheme is to enhance industry understanding and application of design to promote design as a value adding activity and integrate it into mainstream business and industrial processes of MSMEs. The goal is to help MSME manufacturing industries move up the value chain by switching the production mode from original equipment manufacturing to original design manufacturing and hence original brand manufacturing. Enhance strategic design application among MSMEs for improving the manufacturing competitiveness through well design and quality.
